Media Review-Kimberleigh

The Lorax on the surface just seems like a bright and colourful movie created for children so that they can be entertained and give their parents a break. In reality it is much deeper than that and deals with issues that we face. It may seem like a movie for kids since it is based off of the book by Dr. Seuss, however they would not get the message the movie puts forward, like their parents would. Deforestation is not an issue children would understand, they would just be confused on why there are no real trees. They may also not fully grasp the concept of pollution and how it is destroying our Earth. It also helps that The Lorax was a book that adults now would have read when they were children, so seeing this movie would, in a way, help them relive a part of their childhood.
